Kate Rodgers is the Chair and Policy Director for the Student Homes Coalition, the country's largest student-centered YIMBY organization. She got her start in legislative advocacy as a freshman at UCLA in 2022. Working in higher education policy, she realized that California cannot have affordable higher education without affordable housing. In 2024, she transitioned into the housing policy space and began working on legislation for the Student Homes Coalition. Today, she is based in Sacramento to build on the Coalition's California legislative wins and expand the Student Homes' network nationally.
