Eric Goldwyn is a professor and program director at the Marron Institute of Urban Management at New York University. His research focuses on the cost drivers of transit projects, governance, and land use and transport policy.

His work relies heavily on cross-sectional analysis, drawing lessons and data from international projects to inform domestic practice. He's written extensively about why it's so expensive to build transit in the United States and how to build high-speed rail.

He teaches courses on urban planning and history.
